D 26 Tokyo - Odaiba

I have always been looking forward to visit Odaiba. So we got up nice and early as we had many places to visit at Odaiba. We purchased a day ticket for the Yurikamome Train. The ride itself was pretty awesome, as its elevated track passed Shiodome and Shimbashi area before travelling onto the Rainbow bridge.

We got off near Tokyo Big Sight, planning to visit Panasonic showroom. Unfortunately it was closed as every Monday. But I guess that freed up our itinerary a little bit.

Panasonic Showroom; huge but closed
We backtracked a little bit by Yurikamome to Pallet Town. We spent a good while at Toyota showroom. Tried a couple racing games.

Also in Pallet town was the Venus Port. Part of the ceiling was made to look like sky. It was pretty cool to look at and it even changed amount of light to mimic sunrise and sunset.

We chose to walk between Palette Town to Diver city where a life size Gundam was stationed permanently. There were performances every half an hour or so. A short story in which Gundam emitted smoke and moved its head.

Miraikan was a science museum focused environment, energy and new technology related to above. It was fascinating but we only had about 1 hour or so before the closing time. There was a ball-shaped TV that could represent climate change on earth. We also saw a real robot. Apparently it could be ordered to be customised including different types of weapons and shields. From the video footage, the robot was controlled by a person sitting in the trunk part of the robot and able to manipulate fingers precisely.

Of course, before we left Odaiba, we had to say bye to Gundam. The night show was much longer and awesome too!
